  6. http://www.scientificamerican.com/
  7. http://www.smithsonianmag.com
  8. http://www.washingtonpost.com
  9. www.nytimes.com
  10. http://news.discovery.com

First day of the GRE Study Schedule:

  1. Visit http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/about/content/, and read all the content of the GRE.  Read each and every topic.
  2. Read Chapter 1, “Introducing the GRE revised General Test”
  3. Read Chapter 2, “GRE Analytic Writing” (Just the descriptions of the question, not all the sample material)
  4. Read Chapter 3, “GRE Verbal Reasoning” (Don’t go for Chapter 4 – sample questions)
  5. Read Chapter 5, “GRE Quantitative Reasoning” (Don’t go for Chapter 6 – sample questions)
  6. Work through the Chapter 7 GRE Math Review in the Official Guide.  Take notes in your notebook on whatever is unfamiliar.  Complete the exercises as you come to the end of each section. Check all the answers right after you do each Exercise set.  Take note in your notebook on what you got wrong.  If you can’t figure out why you’re wrong, re-read the Math Review.

Next 10 days of GRE Study Schedule:

  1. Read two-three articles daily from the Online Reading Materials. Every day read articles from different section. Write a nice brief summary of what you understood and what the author was trying to convey. Also notice new words and search for their meaning. Note it down in your vocab book with the meaning and a sample sentence how the word should be used. This thing will help in RC as well as your vocabulary will be strong which in turn will help in SE/TC questions.
  2. Go to Magoosh GRE Flashcards website and start practicing 20 words/day. Again repeat the above thing. Note it down in your vocab book with the meaning and a sample sentence how the word should be used. Many words will have same meaning. Write those words as synonym. At the end of the day, revise all the words you have noted till date.

Hopefully now you will have access to Magoosh. Before starting Magoosh, you need to know this. There’s a Flag feature in Magoosh. That means if you answer a question and you really don’t understand and want to practice/revise that afterward, you can “Flag” them and later you can just answer Flagged questions as per your needs.

  1. “Complete Manhattan 5 lb. book Practice Questions. …. Don’t do Verbal from 5 lb.”

Any specific reason for not considering verbal from Manhattan 5 lb?

    1. 5 lb’s verbal is not that good. SE/TC are vague and dependent more on hard words rather than the context and RC’s are very long when compared to GRE.
